On the 2nd day of the journey the golden chariot marks it arrival in Chennai at 06:00 hrs. After a grand breakfast disembark from the train to visit the attractions of Mamallapuram. Located at a distance of 58 Kms from Chennai, Mamallapuram is known amongst the tourist for its temples. The great temples to visit include temple of Rathas, Shore temple and the Penance of Bhagirath. Relish some interesting culinary delights of the place for lunch accompanied by a sightseeing tour to Chennai. The great tourist attractions of Chennai include the Kapaleeshwarar Temple, St. Mary's Church, Fort St. George, the National Art Gallery & Museum etc. Return to train to enjoy a lavish dinner served aboard and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day one starts with the arrival in Bangalore. The beautiful city is dotted with a large number of tourist spots. Check-in at the Leela Palace that plays a ideal host to you. In the evening gather at the Bangalore Railway station for a traditional welcome. After the ritualistic welcome, our representative escorts you to the respective cabins. After bidding adieu, the luxury train goes on to Tiruchirapalli. Depart from the train to visit the Rock Fort temple, commissioned by Nayaks of Madurai on a hillock towering the city. The fort consist three levels with the middle one called Mathrubhuteshwar Shrine devoted to Lord Shiva and the Ucchi Pillayar Koil dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Coming back to the train and the train roll on to Thanjavur, the city famous for its temples and its paintings.
